"Unique Types" is a special collection of fonts inspired by children suffering from physical disabilities. Each font is created under the Creative Common license and is free of rights and limitations on use.
The goal: to create visibility for AACD, a Brazilian association that takes care of children with mental and physical disabilities.
First, we asked designers from all around the world to create fonts.
And they really did.
This is one of the fonts we received:
When we received a reasonable set of fonts, we invited agencies to use those fonts on the ads they create. It was a smart way of creating visibility for the project, since the ads were seen by hundreds of thousands of people all over the country.
For 10 days, AACD has invited 10 of the greatest Brazilian Creative Directors to use the Unique Types in their campaigns. From Washington Olivetto to Marcelo Serpa, each one of them received a invitation on Twitter.
The result: thousands of new visitors to AACD website and, naturally, a good number of new donators to the cause. Oh, and some cool shirts too :)
